Lakshya-dweep

Lakshya-dweep was developed in partnership with SELCO Foundation as a game for general audiences to understand the value of their ecosystem-based approach towards sustainable development.

Lakshya-dweep is a digital game that showcases the ecosystem-based approach that SELCO Foundation has been following to understand challenges in the way of development and to design programs that systemically ad sustainably address these challenges.

Participants play the role of NGO workers specialising in technology innovations with the goal of helping orchard farmers increase their income. During gameplay, players first set up an office on an island; then they undertake a survey of the landscape; based on the survey results, they build and modify technology and technology uptake mechanisms.

The game places a specific focus on the Gauge, Build, and Exit phases that SELCO Foundation considers essential for any intervention. It also focuses on the different levers that can be used to implement interventions.
